Parent Liaison

The mission of Family Support Services is to be the leader in providing safety stability and quality of life for all children by working with the community to strengthen the family unit.

Job Summary

The Parent Liaison serves as a vital bridge between families the Center of Hope and community services. This is a part-time position. This role focuses on fostering authentic family engagement supporting parent leadership development and improving access to resources that promote child and family well-being. The Parent Liaison works collaboratively with staff and community partners to empower families and strengthen community. This position will also be the team lead for the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) and the Community Closet (Threads of Resilience). This position will also be community resident of the 32209 zip code.

Essential Job Duties

  • Build one-on-one relationships with parents to provide coaching and support.
  • Assist with community listening campaigns to identify local needs.
  • Assist with the coordination of family engagement events workshops and support groups.
  • Provide peer support and advocacy for families involved in support services.
  • Help to facilitate parent advocacy and leadership training programs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of parent interactions and program activities.
  • Attend staff meetings trainings and community events as required.
  • Assist with facilitation of parenting sessions such as Parent Café Active Parenting and Mommy and Baby when needed.
  • Other Duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Lived experience in the 32209 community
  • Valid drivers license.

Schedule & Hours

Typically Monday-Friday 25 hrs. max weekly including (2) eight-hour shifts and (2) 4-hour shift and possible evenings & weekends
