About the role

Join TasNetworks and play a key role in ensuring reliable service delivery and customer satisfaction through effective network outage coordination within our Electrical Services team.

As an Outage Coordinator you will be responsible for validating network outage requests to optimise efficiency and minimise customer impact. Your role will focus on ensuring clear and timely communication with customers affected by planned outages while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

As an Outage Coordinator you will engage with both internal and external stakeholders regularly and lead communications to inform customers about planned outages. The role is required to coordinate and submit NAO requests review processes to ensure they remain fit for purpose and manage incident responses in accordance with TasNetworks systems and procedures.

About you

If you hold an Electrical Practitioners Licence and/or an Advanced Diploma of ESI Power Systems OR if you have extensive practical expertise with industry experience and demonstrated experience in outage management and/or network operations we welcome your application.

The Outage Coordinator is a critical checkpoint before planned outages occur therefore exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential to the success of this role as is the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.

The successful candidate will also have

  • A strong safety focus and commitment to ensuring all work is compliant
  • Capability to work across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Proven ability to consistently achieve results when in a pressurised and competing task environment
  • Expertise in SAP and Microsoft applications
  • Ability to analyse data and contribute to process improvement and implementation
