As the Team Leader People Consultants your roles primary responsibility is coaching and leading a team of generalist HR Consultants to deliver outstanding service timely and accurate advice. The Team Leader will focus day to day on team coaching and development whilst also ensuring a culture of team engagement knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. The new team are spread across various states and therefore leadership will predominately be facilitated remotely.

With an experienced background in HR you will bring your generalist knowledge and passion for developing people. Youll be able to impart your previous success and learnings to embed a culture of innovation up-skilling and continuous improvement - a genuine opportunity to make a real impact within our People & Culture community. Using reporting and analytics to derive meaningful insights you will inform and influence key stakeholder groups with recommendations for improvements within People & Culture.

This is a permanent full time opportunity and Bendigo Melbourne Adelaide or Sydney are the preferred locations. We prioritise our people with a hybrid model based out of our Head Office locations.

As the Team Leader People Consultants you will:

  • Coach individual team members to achieve high performance uplift capability and act quickly to address underperformance concerns
  • Ensure advice provided to leaders/staff is accurate delivered consistently within agreed service response times and the customer experience is outstanding
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of advice provided by team members to inform coaching and development conversations/plans
  • Complete monthly reporting for the PAC Consultant stream highlighting the number of requests received per month by category type commentary and insights
  • Demonstrate a strong personal interest in your own performance and the performance and brand reputation of the team

To be successful in the role youll have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or diploma in Human Resources Employee Relations Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline desirable or currently completing a relevant tertiary qualification/diploma
  • Demonstrated high performance and experience in a similar role leading a team of HR Advisors/People Consultants in a large complex organisation
  • Experience coaching people to upskill capability to achieve high performance
  • Proven capability providing advice on people policies processes industrial instruments and systems
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite and experience with HR systems
  • Excellent attention to detail ability to set priorities and meet deadlines and outstanding customer service skills
