Peer Specialist - Inpatient Behavioral Health
Employees working at locations operating 24/7 (Longview) earn a shift differential. Shift differentials are also available for evenings overnights weekends and holidays.
Role Overview:
As a Peer Specialist you will use your life experience and your personal journey of recovery addiction and/or mental health conditions to engage advocate and link SummitStone Health Partners clients to formal or informal treatment activities services and/or supports. A Peer Specialist cultivates mutual supportive relationships with clients as they navigate through systems. This looks like highlighting strengths sitting in discomfort and walking side-by-side with clients as they move toward goals of their choosing.

Please note:This position is subject to a mandatory background check through the Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) TRAILS database which reviews for any substantiated cases of child abuse or neglect.
This requirement applies to all staff working at our Longview campus regardless of direct contact with adolescents due to the fact that the facility provides adolescent treatment services. As such completion of this background check is required for employment at this location.
