Veterinary Technician-River Heights Veterinary Hospital

As a Veterinary Technicianyoullplayan important rolein pets lives by providing comprehensive care throughout their journey.Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care offacilitatingoutpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests to surgeryassistance to support services including admitting and discharging patients.
Experience & Skills Requirements:
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT LVT RVT) preferred not required
Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately
Familiarity with veterinary software and medical terminology
Role Responsibilities:
Assist veterinarians during examinations surgeries and treatments
Perform venipuncture catheter placement and administer medications
Collect and process lab samples (blood urine fecal etc.)
Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical prep and recovery
Educate pet owners on preventative care and treatment plans
Maintain accurate patient records and follow up with clients
Ensure a clean safe and organized work environment

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience-$18-23/hr. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills qualifications experience and location.
