ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains complete current and historical client record.
- Maintains supporting documentation in an organized fashion and files when appropriate.
- Implements record retention and disposal schedules as required.
- Manages the changeover from paper to electronic management systems.
- Scans external reports and Part C documentation daily.
- Assists the Early Intervention Program with the break down of records on discharged clients timely and accurately.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must have good communication skills computer skills ability to work with others as a team.
- Basic experience with office equipment (telephone copy machine fax).
- Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Must be able to read write speak and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions follow instructions and to accept constructive criticism when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must have patience tact a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to interact others.
- Must possess the ability and willingness to work professionally with other personnel patients family members and guests.
- Must function independently and have flexibility personal integrity and the ability to work effectively unsupervised for extended periods of time.
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.
PATIENT RIGHTS/ ORGANIZATIONAL ETHICS CUSTOMER FOCUS:
- Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all patients.
- Demonstrates customer and quality focus. Delivers to high standards and exercises good judgment in meeting customer needs both internally and externally.
- Demonstrates a positive image and shows respect for all families served in the program.
- Professional and courteous use of the phone.
- Demonstrates integrity behaves ethically and honestly.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Prefers 1-2 years experience in Information Management or related fields.
