Position can be based in Adel Syd or Melb

We have a 6 months contract opportunity for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant whos ready to take ownership of complex Intercompany transactions and drive process improvement.

Join our Group Finance team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our external financial reporting by managing and eliminating internal entity transactions. This is a fantastic opportunity to implement new policies and make a significant impact on our global accounting procedures.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

Manage and reconcile all financial transactions occurring between our entities.
Accurately track and perform necessary eliminations of internal transactions to present financial reports that show only activity with external parties.
Produce edit and implement a robust and practical Group Intercompany Accounting Policy formalizing existing draft documents.
Establish a reliable monthly intercompany process with materially reduced exceptions and differences.
Review historical intercompany balances and differences determine and post corrective accounting entries.
Train and educate various accounting team members on the new intercompany requirements and procedures to ensure successful adoption.
Work extensively with GL and other finance reporting systems.

Qualifications :

Now lets talk about you:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial accounting role preferably within a medium to large business.
CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent).
Proven experience leading or contributing to accounting improvement projects.
Experience working with General Ledger (GL) and finance reporting systems. Experience with SAP D365 Great Plains or similar systems is preferred but not compulsory.
Highly adaptable and effective when working in complex or ambiguous environments.
Prior experience in External Audit (ideal but not compulsory).
Adelaide based (ideal but not compulsory).
