Job Summary:
The Senior Rail Engineer Program Managerwill be an accomplished Engineering leader with a proven ability to generate new business oversee technical delivery and establish a strong local team of engineers. They will use creativity foresight and sound judgment to address complex challenges and drive impactful decisions. The Senior Rail Engineer Program Manager will balance competing priorities and lead programs with advanced technical and organizational complexity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Drive business development and lead project delivery while also building and developing a local engineering team.
- Lead a major program team for the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Skilled in developing relationships with key clients with an ability to drive business growth.
- Proficient with electronic communications (e-mail text) and standard office applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 15 years of prior experience.
- 5 years of experience as a program manager.
- Committed to life-long learning to stay informed about contemporary issues.
- Established relationships with railroad clients.
- Strong business development skills.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and guidelines.
Additional Qualifications Certifications etc.:
- Professional Engineer (PE) equivalent or authorization of CLPO.
- Membership in a professional practice organization national board member or officer recognized expert on statewide activity and resource for national activities and organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Build and empowerhigh-performing technical teams to achieve superior outcomes and client satisfaction.
- Supervise several organizational segments or teams.
- Recommend facilities personnel and funds required to execute programs.
- Oversee the technical legal and financial issues of an entire program.
- Determine program objectives and requirements.
- Develop standards and guidelines.
