Pre-operative Phone Coordinator
Wolfe Surgery Center is looking to add a full-time LPN to provide pre and post operative phone instructions to our patients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage preoperative records.
- Retrieve H&Ps labs and EKG prior to surgery.
- Review health history with patient to identify potential surgical complications.
- Communicate patient health history with anesthesia and appropriate staff member as needed.
- Complete pre- and post-surgical phone calls.
- Document patient information and complete charts.
- Provide patient education and surgical instructions.
- Participate develop and implement activities that promote quality patient care.
- Initiate and follow procedure protocol.
- Triage phone calls
- Multitask duties and manage time effectively.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate scientific judgment
- Time management skills
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Professionalism in the anticipation and planning for the care of our patients.
Early morning hours are required for position.
Applicants must have current Iowa LPN license. Surgical facility experience is preferred.
