Job Summary

Are you a passionate and dedicated early years professional looking to take the next step in your career Longford Park Primary School is seeking a Nursery Teacher to oversee the development and daily management of our nurturing and engaging nursery environment on a fixed term contract for the rest of the academic year.

Your Opportunity

In this key role you will ensure that children aged 2-5 thrive in a safe caring and stimulating setting while building strong partnerships with parents carers and professionals. If you are committed to delivering high-quality teaching implementing best practices and fostering a love of learning we would love to hear from you!

What were looking for:

  • Early Years Level 6 qualification or above
  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
  • Current paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Basic food hygiene certificate
  • Up to date safeguarding training
  • Strong teaching experience in Early Years with a clear understanding of current pedagogy
  • Experience working in a nursery or school setting
  • Experience managing and working within a team
  • Ability to establish and communicate clear standards and expectations
  • Ability to manage and develop resources to support child development
  • High standard of written and oral communication
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and statutory requirements
  • Good understanding of The Children Act EYFS Welfare Requirements and KCSIE
  • Ability to design interactive engaging sessions for all learning needs
  • Strong planning and organisation skills
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Trustworthy approachable and passionate about changing childrens lives

The Details

Start Date: January 2026

Salary Grade: GLF Unqualified Teacher Rate

Hours: Full time.

Contract:Fixed term contract to 17th July

Closing Date: 24th November 2025
