Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient General Assistant to join our team in Tipton United Kingdom. As a General Assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of our operations ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning and excellent customer service.
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Support hospitality services as required ensuring a welcoming environment for customers and guests
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen dining and service areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations across all areas
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to students staff and visitors
- Undertake various administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the facility
- Assist with stock management and inventory control
- Support the set-up and breakdown of events or meetings as needed
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist in other areas of the organisation as required
Qualifications :
- Experience in a catering food service or customer-facing environment is desirable but not essential
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety practices; Level 1 Food Safety Certificate is advantageous
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly customer-focused attitude
- Keen attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work various shifts including weekends and evenings if required
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload efficiently
- Basic computer skills for administrative tasks
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
