Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented HMI Development Engineer to join our Global Controls R&D this role you will be responsible for designing developing and implementing human machine interfaces (HMI) for advanced spray dispensing coating and finishing solutions. The ideal candidate utilizes collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering product management manufacturing and sales to develop feature rich user interfaces compliant with industry standards. You will play a key role in transforming concepts and user requirements into industry leading and user friendly HMIs.
Essential Functions
Design and develop HMI for industrial spray equipment ensuring adherence to product design specifications and NPD processes.
Integrate global HMI solutions across company product lines.
Develop detailed project schedules work plans and technical documentation.
Lead HMI design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and milestones.
Implement and refine HMI testing methods to evaluate performance characteristics and reliability.
Participate in initial product start-up activities.
Work with marketing and other departments to launch new products offering technical support and training.
Troubleshoot and resolve HMI functionality issues.
Continuous improvement through usability testing and customer feedback.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 3 plus years of experience in product development or design related to HMI development.
Strong understanding of engineering documentation electrical systems and process diagrams.
Experience with HMI development software tools such as Exor JMobile B&R Mapp View FactoryTalk View etc.
Experience in high level language software code development including JavaScript.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
