The role

As a Trainee Survival Equipment Technician youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. Youll receive specialist training to maintain and repair critical survival equipment that safeguards pilots throughout their flying training and operational missions.

Day-to-day youll have the following responsibilities:

  • Repair and rectify all aircrew air systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on clothing parachutes ELTs and flotation devices
  • Conduct stock checks and manage consumable supplies
  • Carry out weekly and monthly tool checks and maintain tool control standards
  • Manage sensitive data asset allocation and maintenance control systems.

This role is full time working 40 hours per week and is based on site at Benson Oxfordshire.

Essential experience of the Trainee Survival Equipment Technician:

A strong passion for engineering and aviation with a keen interest in technical innovation and aircraft systems.

Qualifications for the Trainee Survival Equipment Technician:

Security Clearance

Successful candidates must meet Ministry of Defence security clearance requirements including at minimum a Baseline Security Check and Enhanced DBS.
