About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular full-time Lead Donor Experience Design to join our dynamic Insight & Donor Experience team.

As a member of Canadian Blood Services (CBS) the Lead Donor Experience Design contributes to the delivery of exceptional donor experiences by supporting the implementation of journey-based service improvements.

Reporting to the Manager Donor Experience Strategy and Design this role bridges strategy and execution coordinating pilots gathering and analyzing donor feedback and ensuring continuous improvement through design thinking and user-centered approaches. This position supports cross-functional collaboration to bring the donor journey vision to life.

Formula for success

  • Drawing on your knowledge or experience in Journey Mapping and Service Design you will contribute to the development of donor journey maps and service blueprints.
  • You will document touchpoints pain points and emotional states across the donor lifecycle.
  • You will coordinate logistics and communication for experience design pilots and tests as well as monitor program performance.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders you will help refine and scale successful initiatives.
  • You will maintain accurate records prepare reports to present to stakeholders as well as support the intake tracking and prioritization of experience-related requests.

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of post-secondary education in UX/UI design service design communications or a related field.
  • Advanced certificates or training in Design Thinking HCD or similar methodoloties preferred.
  • Experience with design and mapping tools (e.g. Figma Miro Smaply Lucidchart).
  • Familiarity with process improvement frameworks (e.g. Lean Agile Six Sigma).
  • Understanding of user-centered and service design methodologies.
  • Proficiency with digital design and visualization tools.

What you can expect

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time/2 days of the week.
  • Shift/hours - Monday to Friday days 32.5 hours a week 7.5 hours a day.
  • Travel requirements - occasional travel may be required for training purposes.
