Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Software Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle of software assets across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) tools such as Flexera ServiceNow SAM Pro Snow Software or equivalent platforms. This role ensures compliance optimizes software usage and supports strategic decision-making through effective license management.
Key Responsibilities:
. Manage end-to-end software asset lifecycle including procurement deployment usage tracking and retirement.
. Administer and optimize SAM tools (e.g. Flexera Snow ServiceNow SAM Pro) to ensure accurate software inventory and license compliance.
. Collaborate with procurement IT legal and finance teams to ensure alignment with software licensing agreements.
. Monitor software usage to identify opportunities for cost savings and license optimization.
. Conduct regular audits and compliance checks to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to vendor agreements.
. Maintain a centralized repository of software assets and licensing documentation.
. Provide regular reporting and dashboards on software usage compliance status and cost savings.
. Support software renewals true-ups and vendor negotiations with accurate data and insights.
. Assist in tool migration or integration projects as needed.
Required Qualifications:
. Bachelors degree in IT Business Administration or related field.
. 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management.
. Proficiency in SAM tools such as Flexera Snow ServiceNow SAM Pro or equivalent.
. Strong understanding of software licensing models (e.g. SaaS perpetual subscription).
. Experience with ITIL processes and ITSM tools.
. Excellent analytical communication and stakeholder management skills.
. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
. ITIL Foundation certification.
. Flexera Certified Professional or equivalent certifications.
. Experience in managing software assets in large enterprise environments.
. Familiarity with cloud licensing (e.g. Azure AWS Google Cloud).
