We invite applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the field of assay development drug discovery and characterization within the Cluster4Future PROXIDRUGS ( project ProxiDETECT.
The Cluster4Future PROXIDRUGS aims to develop innovative therapies for human diseases by targeted degradation of disease-relevant proteins within cells. The cluster pools the expertise of several local universities scientific institutes and major pharmaceutical companies. Within PROXIDRUGS the ProxiDETECT project develops advanced assay technologies and imaging solutions for the identification biophysical and phenotypic characterization of molecular glues and novel ubiquitin E3 ligase this position we are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious candidate with a PhD in biology biochemistry molecular biology cell biology or a related field with experience in assay development and cell biology.
Responsibilities include
- Protein production (cloning expression in various systems purification quality control)
- Development and application of biophysical/binding assays using different techniques (thermal shift surface plasmon resonance biolayer interferometry spectral shift ligand displacement)
- Assay miniaturization and automation
- Screening of medium-sized small-molecule compound libraries
- Analysis of results in close collaboration with data scientists bioinformaticians and chemoinformaticians
- PhD in life sciences in biology biochemistry molecular biology cell biology pharmacology or an equivalent field
- Skills in independent problem solving and systematic data-driven experimental design and execution
- Proficiency in English required; German language skills are a plus
- You enjoy working in a multidisciplinary team
- Due to legal regulations valid proof of measles immunity / measles vaccination is required
