AUTOMATIC BAR & CHUCKING
Bedford PA
1st shift: 7am -3pm (M-F)
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Operate automatic bar & chucking machines to produce finished bodies.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- high school diploma or general equivalency diploma;
- Completion of basic math blueprint reading and gauge-reading training;
- The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers;
- A forklifts operators license.
JOB ACTIVITIES:
- Operates chucker(s) at optimal level to meet or exceed established daily production rates;
- Inspect machined tools visually and with the use of gauges micrometers calipers etc.;
- Recognize change and replace worn tooling make adjustments as needed;
- Prepare for and assist the Set-up person in machine changeover;
- Perform daily preventative maintenance procedures;
- Work as fill-in for machine operators as needed.
