Were seeking a skilled Light Vehicle Mechanic to join our Wellington Workshop this position youll be responsible for servicing repairing and carrying out compliance inspections on light vehicles as well as mobile and fixed plant.

Your expertise will help us meet customer needs safely on schedule within budget and to an exceptional quality standard. Our Petone workshop is fully equipped to provide mechanical services for our fleet of plant and equipment.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Look after the safety of yourself and people around you push pause when needed never carryout a task when the safety of yourself and others is at risk
  • Service and repair vehicles and plant while following correct repair procedure
  • Report all failure/ breakdowns/ causes to the supervisor

Werelooking for someone with:

  • National Certificate in Light Automotive Engineering (Level 4)
  • Minimum class 1 drivers licence class 2 4 or 5 licenses would be advantageous
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends (rostered)
  • Experience working on light vehicles light trailer servicing and mobile and fixed plant
  • A good understanding of mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems
