Moray House School of Education and Sport / School Research Engagement and Impact (REI) office
Full-time: 35 hours per week
Moray House School of Education and Sport is seeking a well-organised and experienced administrator to provide high-quality support for research and knowledge exchange activities within the Schools Research Engagement and Impact (REI) Office. The post is part of the School Research Engagement and Impact (REI) Office and is aligned with the Physical Activity for Health Research Centre (PAHRC) and other designated research groups/ thematic hubs within the school.
The Opportunity:
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised administrator who enjoys working in a varied and dynamic research environment and who can bring strong organisational communication and problem-solving skills to a collaborative team.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week). Fixed-term 15 months. We are open to considering flexible working patterns and requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) combining a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
The salary for this post isper annum.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Previous administrative experience with responsibility for financial monitoring and reporting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with a commitment to delivering a high standard of customer service.
- High level of numeracy and accuracy with confidence in using IT systems particularly MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgment to resolve queries and support colleagues.
- An interest in or understanding of physical activity and health research would be an advantage.
- Experience in Higher Education administration and familiarity with university systems and finance processes would be beneficial.
