The Technical Strategy and Oversight (TSO) organization is transforming Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). We are seeking skilled engineers and builders to join our newly established Software Ecosystem Management team. This team is reimagining how we ensure the security reliability stability and performance of software components used across OCI. This is a unique greenfield opportunity to help design and build new cloud services from the ground up. We are growing rapidly still at an early stage and working on ambitious new initiatives. Responsibilities

Who are we looking for

You are motivated self-starting and capable of operating independently. You have experience building growing and working as part of high-performing engineering teams that deliver results. You will contribute to the design development deployment and maintenance of OCI cloud services. You pay attention to detail overcome obstacles independently and know when to seek help. You are an independent thinker eager to challenge the status quo to meet the challenges of next-generation cloud.

You are technically skilled and get things done. You can balance speed of delivery and quality by using iteration and incremental improvements. You have improved life for developers and have motivated others toward process and service improvements through your ability to automate and instrument services. You understand operational excellence and how to help instill a culture of high quality and customer focus.

Qualifications

  • 7 years of distributed service engineering experience in a software development environment.
  • Experience developing in modern programming languages such as Java Rust C or C#.
  • Mastered managing building and deploying code with tools like with Git Maven and IntelliJ.
  • Hands-on experience designing developing and operating public cloud service control or data planes
  • Hands-on experience in software performance profiling analysis and optimization.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures algorithms operating systems and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of databases NoSQL systems storage and distributed persistence technologies.
  • Good understanding of Linux administration and networking stack configuration
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development specifically within a cloud environment
  • Experience working closely with architects principals product and program managers to deliver product features on time and with high quality.
  • Demonstrable technical leadership and mentorship skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g. AWS Azure GCP)
  • Experience driving security reviews documentation UX reviews and working with Product Managers from inception through launch
  • Building continuous integration/deployment pipelines with robust testing and deployment schedules
  • Proven experience in building and operating distributed workflow management and reporting systems.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96800 to $223400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience market conditions and locations as well as reflect Oracles differing products industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
