The role
Are you a skilled CNC Machinist with a passion for precision problem-solving and hands-on work Join our growing Advanced Manufacturing team at IPL Schoeller and play a key role in crafting high-quality tools and components that drive our production success.
What Youll Do
As a CNC Machinist youll be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machines performing light fabrication and ensuring tooling is maintained to the highest standards. Your day-to-day will include:
Machine Operation
- Set up and operate CNC Lathes and Mills
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Edit Programs when needed to maintain sizes and finishes
Quality & Inspection
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools. (Micrometers Dial Indicators CMM)
- Tolerance requirements /-.0002
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Troubleshoot and repair broken parts and equipment.
What You Bring
- Minimum 3 years experience in CNC milling and Lathe machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Prior toolmaking or mold making experience is a plus.
- CNC Programming (Mastercam) is a plus
- 5-Axis machine operation is a plus
- Completion of a toolmaker apprenticeship is plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable with prolonged standing and walking on concrete floors.
