Senior DT Technician Lead Workshop Safety and Specialist Resistant Materials Support Birmingham
A dynamic secondary school in Birmingham is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Senior DT Technician to specialize in Resistant Materials and lead workshop management from January 2026.
Experience and Qualifications
- Significant experience working as a DT Technician specializing in Resistant Materials (Wood/Metal/Plastics).
- Expert knowledge of workshop machinery operation maintenance and safety regulations (e.g. COSHH).
- Proven ability to prepare materials set up practical projects and assist students with specialist equipment.
- Strong organizational skills for managing stock materials procurement and budget tracking.
School Information
This is a senior role essential to the success and safety of our busy DT department. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the main workshop supported by a junior technician.
