We are looking to add a customer service-oriented skilled Staff Accountant to our team to support our day-to-day accounting functions and contribute to the overall success of our company.
Position Overview:
As a Staff Accountant you will play a key role in managing and maintaining accurate financial records. You will handle a wide range of accounting responsibilities including accounts payable accounts receivable month-end closing general ledger account reconciliations and financial reporting. Additionally you will set up and maintain customer and vendor files to ensure smooth transactions. Your attention to detail strong analytical skills customer service mindset and ability to handle multiple tasks will be crucial to supporting our accounting operations and ensuring smooth internal and external financial communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable: Process and manage payments invoices and collections while maintaining clear communication with vendors and customers.
Accounts Receivable Collections & Problem Resolution: Proactively manage collections address and resolve any payment issues or discrepancies and work closely with customers to ensure timely payments.
Set Up & Maintain Customer and Vendor Files: Create and maintain accurate records for new customers and vendors to ensure smooth transactions and compliance.
Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing activities including journal entry posting reconciliation of general ledger accounts and credit card transaction posting to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with financial analysis to support decision-making.
Customer Service Support: Address accounting-related inquiries from internal teams and external clients in a professional timely and solution-oriented manner.
Other Accounting Duties: Assist with audits tax preparation and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Business - Accounting or Finance is ideal.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with accounting software (e.g. Netsuite).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables lookup functions).
Excellent attention to detail organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
Flexible able to adapt and learn new technologies
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
