Job Title: Metrology/CMMProgrammer Pay: $34-$44hr
Shift & Schedule:
- 4am-2:30pm (M-TH OT on Fri)
- 2pm - 1:30am (M-TH OT on Fri)
Job Summary The Metrology Programmer is responsible for creating maintaining and optimizing inspection programs/templates using PC-DMIS (CMM) and ATOS (GOM). This role performs dimensional inspections of die and hand forgings operates inspection equipment as needed and supports Metrology Specialists with AS9102 reporting. Additionally the Metrology Programmer trains and mentors team members in equipment operation program execution and inspection best practices.
Key Responsibilities Program Development & Maintenance:
Inspection & Verification:

Operate CMM and GOM equipment or use conventional inspection tools to inspect and verify compliance of forgings tooling gages fixtures templates and machined components against customer or engineering requirements.

Assist Metrology Specialists in preparing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports in accordance with company and industry standards.

Review and validate supplier and subcontractor First Article and production inspection reports.

Perform periodic acceptance tests and evaluations on CMM and GOM equipment.
Documentation & Communication:

Read and interpret customer engineering documentation including 2D drawings 3D models and related specifications.

Communicate non-conformances clearly verbally and in writing to supervisors Sales Manufacturing and Engineering.

Interface with source inspectors auditors and customers regarding inspection methods product conformance and reporting.

Review customer specifications and relay applicable requirements to the Document Control Specialist.
Other Responsibilities:

Report all safety incidents per company policies.

Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
-
Minimum 10 years in CMM/GOM programming and inspection
-
15 years in manufacturing or related industry experience
-
Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred
-
Forging experience preferred
Certifications & Training:
Skills & Knowledge:
-
Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
-
Proficiency with 2D and 3D inspections using CMM (preferably MCOSMOS/Hexagon) and GOM-ATOS software
-
Working knowledge of inspection and documentation procedures

Strong verbal and written communication skills

MS Office proficiency
-
CATIA modeling preferred
