Job Summary
The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing optimizing and maintaining CNC programs that support precision machining operations. This role works closely with machinists and engineers to translate engineering requirements into efficient repeatable manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented technically strong and motivated to produce high-quality components in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Create modify and maintain CNC programs for milling and turning operations
- Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and GD&T requirements
- Select tooling fixtures and cutting parameters to achieve quality and efficiency targets
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
- Perform program simulations and verify tool paths prior to release
- Maintain accurate documentation for programs setups and revisions
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and quality procedures
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in CNC programming or machining preferred
- Minimum of five years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam GibbsCAM or similar tools
- Strong understanding of G-code M-code and CNC machine operations
- Experience machining a variety of materials including titanium stainless steel Inconel and plastics
- Ability to read complex drawings and apply GD&T principles
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $95000$105000 depending on experience
