Catering Assistant. Manor Park Care Home

• Hours: 20 or 40 hours available
• Salary: £12.60 per hour

We’re looking for friendly and reliable Catering Assistants to join our team at the brand-new Manor Park Care Home opening in the picturesque town of Malton. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new team from day one and help create a warm welcoming dining experience for our residents.

As a Catering Assistant you’ll play a key role in supporting the kitchen team and ensuring residents enjoy nutritious well-presented meals in a clean and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities.

• Assist with meal preparation and food service throughout the day
• Support residents during mealtimes including serving food and drinks
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas
• Follow food safety and infection control procedures
• Help with stock rotation and kitchen organisation
• Work collaboratively with care and kitchen staff to meet residents’ dietary needs
• Provide a friendly and respectful service promoting dignity and choice

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable
• A positive team-focused attitude and strong communication skills
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (training provided)
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including alternate weekends
• Kindness patience and a genuine interest in supporting older people

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘STREAM’.
