A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Dispatch Analyst to take charge of daily dispatch operations combining analytical precision with hands-on leadership.
This is your chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring
efficient fleet utilisation on-time deliveries and team performance excellence within a fast-paced high-volume logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate a dispatch team of over 20 staff ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Monitor and analyse dispatch performance metrics including route efficiency turnaround times and delivery accuracy.
- Optimise fleet utilisation and route planning to ensure cost-effective deliveries.
- Oversee POD and documentation accuracy ensuring full compliance and traceability.
- Manage driver schedules ensuring coverage performance and adherence to company standards.
- Track and report key operational KPIs (vehicle utilisation fuel consumption OTIF performance).
- Collaborate with the logistics team to implement data-driven improvements in dispatch processes.
- Support fleet maintenance and compliance ensuring roadworthiness licensing and safety standards are met.
- Drive staff performance management including KPAs coaching and disciplinary processes where necessary.
- Prepare daily weekly and monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations for optimisation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:- Tertiary qualification in Logistics Supply Chain Management Operations Management or related field (advantageous).
Experience:- 36 years experience in logistics distribution or dispatch operations.
- Minimum 12 years experience supervising or managing staff in a logistics environment.
- Strong exposure to route planning dispatch systems and performance analytics.
- Experience using Route Optimiser Software or similar systems (preferred).
