Under general supervision perform work in the assembly testing and/or repair of electronic / electrical and mechanical components equipment and systems; and perform related work as required.
- Engage in assembly maintenance repair quality control and packaging of products. These tasks are scheduled in coordination with Management.
- Ensure a high quality of work is always maintained.
- Work according to specifications and processes supplied.
- Carry out product assembly in accordance with work instructions.
- Reporting of problems/shortages to Operations Manager.
- Troubleshooting of product.
- Ensure that job times are recorded when requested by Management.
- Ensure that wastage of raw materials is minimised.
- Reporting quality issues immediately to Management.
- Ensure that received goods are correct in quantity required product and quality.
- Always maintain good housekeeping.
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly checks of plant equipment as per requirements.
- General plant and machine maintenance.
- Ensure compliance of safety regulations according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and company policies.
- Ensure that the Quality and the ESH (Environment Safety and Health) Policies are followed and maintained. Observe and maintain all safety rules and regulations.
- Conduct site risk assessments with Management.
- Report non-conformances to Management.
- Participate in weekly Production and Safety Talks.
- Perform equipment verification (e.g. multimeters) on an annual basis per plant Quality Management System (QMS).
- Undertake training and self-education in the Companys products and policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Management.
Qualifications :
- Grade 12 with National Engineering Certificate
- Experience with working with electronics and electrical components
- The candidate must possess exceptional skills in soldering and re-work of THT/SMD components
- Ability to operate various machines and tools safely and correctly: Hand-tools Verniers Cut-off Saws Plunge Saws Angle Grinders Electric Drills and Drivers Bench Saws Table Saw Drill Press
- Valid Forklift Drivers Certification and Licence (Advantage)

- Knowledge of materials (e.g. Aluminium Copper Steel Stainless Steel) and materials processing (e.g. how to correctly drill various grades of stainless steel).
- Ability to operate various machines and tools safely and correctly: Verniers various Hand-tools Cut-off Saws Plunge Saws Angle Grinders Electric Drills and Drivers Bench Saws Table Saws Drill Press.
- Experience in working with electronics and electrical components including use of testing equipment (e.g. digital multimeters).
- Soldering of Printed Circuit Boards specifically handling and soldering of SMD components.
- Able to identify and work with electronic components.
- General use of Forklift for goods handling.
- Experience with woodwork.
- Able to work neatly and methodically.
- Must demonstrate an extremely high attention to detail that is must be detail-oriented.
- Must possess basic computer literacy knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office (Outlook Word Excel) and web browsers (Edge or Chrome).
- Able to follow production specifications to set up machines.
