Youre a technically minded hands-on problem solver who loves getting stuck into the details. Fault finding fixing and fine-tuning are second nature to you. You take pride in getting forklifts back up and running quickly and safely. Youredependable organised and enjoy working independently yet you know when to reach out to your team.
What youll be doing (and why youll enjoy it):
Youll be servicing and maintaining a fleet of mainly electric forklifts across key sites in the KZN. From diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults to completing scheduled maintenance and responding to breakdowns youll ensure all equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. Youll record your work accurately manage parts and communicate effectively with site teams keeping operations flowing. With a mix of site visits on-call support and occasional travel no two days will be the same.

Youll join a respected international leader in material handling solutions known for their innovation in electric forklift technology based in team culture values reliability professionalism and teamwork with a strong focus on quality service and technical excellence. Youll be supported by a dedicated Service Manager and a network of experienced Technicians who share your passion for machinery that works be responsible for servicing and maintaining a fleet of predominantly electric forklifts at key locations throughout KZN.
What youll need:
Youll have at least 5 years of experience as a Technician working on forklifts or similar equipment ideally with both electrical and mechanical exposure. A relevant trade test or N3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required. Youre confident diagnosing and repairing faults can manage your time effectively and hold a valid drivers licence. Experience with electric forklifts will be a bonus training is available if youre strong on the mechanical side. You need to have your own tool box.
