Are you our new Infrastructure Engineer

You will join the infrateam that ensures everything under the hood runs perfectly: VMs hypervisors storage and network. You will help build the very foundation everything runs on. Literally.
We manage two data centers (Amsterdam & Haarlem) run infrastructure for 2500 customers and our development team is currently building our new platform: a next generation system that will expand our IaaS into a full fledged Application Platform. Think containers databases queues and tasks all running on the infrastructure you will help maintain and improve.
You will work on innovation speed and reliability. You think ahead automate relentlessly and you know when "it works" isnt good enough. Because the better our infrastructure the faster we can deliver.

What do we expect from you
  • Proven experience with Linux is mandatory. You have a strong background in managing troubleshooting and optimizing Linux based systems minimum 5 years
  • You can work independently but you are at your best in a team that builds learns and improves together.
  • You collaborate with colleagues review each others work contribute to solutions and arent afraid to question things when they can be improved.
  • You thrive in an environment where technology leads the overview of the technologies we work with:
  • OS: Linux (Red Hat based)
  • Software: KVM (virtualization) Shell Python Golang
  • Storage: Ceph NFS
  • Configuration Management: Git Puppet The Foreman
  • Network: VXLAN EVPN
  • Monitoring: Nagios Prometheus / Loki Grafana
  • Living in and can work freely in the Netherlands is a MUST

Its great if you have experience with these but we are not looking for a walking checklist. We are looking for someone who understands how systems work and enjoys tinkering with them.
