This position is primarily a working field Supervisor for FTTP. The Supervisor will oversee an entire wing of FTTP Construction (String MST or Distribution Cable) with Team Leads reporting directly to the Supervisor. The Supervisor will serve as direct report to the FTTP Construction Manager for the purposes of monitoring and developing all FTTP personnel and processes. The Supervisor will assist the Manager with administrative tasks personnel issues production agendas and efficiency initiatives.

Responsibilities
1. Provide daily oversight of String MST and/or Distribution Cable Teams in the field.
2. ALL Field Engineering oversight and updates on Construction progress.
3. ALL Resolutions in active Market whether delegating or individually resolving.
4. Splicing/Testing Coordination.
5. Fiber Locator oversight.
6. Assure that production outpaces deadlines at all times adjusting staffing in the field as needed to fit priorities.
7. Procure tools and job-related items as needed.
8. Monitor associates daily team assignments and track overall clock-in/clock-out accuracy.
9. Weekly associate meetings and quarterly reviews.
10. Deliver coaching and/or corrective action to associates as needed escalating issues to Manager when appropriate.
11. Assure that every OSP associate completes all periodic training modules in a timely fashion.
12. Report staffing and construction quality trends to Manager.
13. Coordinate with Warehouse personnel and Fiber Design team to assure accurate inventory and efficient scheduling of OSP workflow.
14. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:
Previous Team Leadership is required. Supervisor is expected to have a full working knowledge of all areas of OSP Construction within 90 days of promotion. Previous Underground and Aerial construction is preferred.

COMPETENCIES SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
OSP cross-training will be provided for the right candidateattitude culture and leadership abilities are key to this position.
Knowledge of underground and aerial construction and splice docs.
Must be a team player and problem solver who can facilitate teamwork between different aspects of construction and maintain high morale while exceeding production goals.
Must be an excellent problem solver and have the ability to prioritize objectives.
Must work well with other Supervisors and be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders on all levels.
Must be able to work outside in all seasons and operate all related OSP and/or warehouse-related equipment.
Must have adequate Time Management skills
