JOB SUMMARY:

The Department of Arts & Communications seeks to fill an adjunct faculty position in photography/videography in its Media Studies program beginning on January 1 2026.

Selected individuals will be required to teach at least 6 credit hours or more of video editing and basic photography or photojournalism.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Teach video editing classes.
• Teach basic photography class and its accompanying laboratory.
• Attend departmental monthly meetings on Microsoft Teams or in-person.
• Other duties besides teaching include regular communication with the departmental chair and media studies program coordinator.
• Meeting with the students periodically to discuss their classroom needs and progress.
• Creating course outlines/syllabi and lesson plans for the classes.
• Other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator and the Departmental Chair.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Possession of at least a masters degree or equivalent in mass communications or related fields.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut editing.
• Proficiency in teaching basic photography.
• Possession of at least 2 years of working experience in a broadcast post-production television or film or photography studio setting.
