The Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management at California State University San Marcos seeks a part-time lecturer for Spring 2026 to teach OM 632: Sales and Operations Planning.

Course Description:

This course covers sales and operations planning as vital processes in supply chain management. It focuses on three main concepts: Demand Planning Supply Planning and Sales and Operations Planning and includes Demand Forecasting Demand Shaping Capacity Planning Inventory Management Material and Production Planning Outsourcing Aggregate Production Planning Supply Chain Integration and Coordination Consensus Forecast (Tactical S&OP) Collaboration Sales/Operations/Finance/Business Development) Management review and KPI measurement and S&OP simulation game.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Masters degree or higher in a relevant field
  • Per the California State Universitys Out-of-State Employment Policy the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California. Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Career experience in Operations Supply Chain Business Analytics
  • Demonstrated teaching experience at a four-year university and/or community college
  • Ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community
  • Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate intercultural competence and a commitment to serving a diverse campus community as it relates to teaching and as applicable service.

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience

  • Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $2279 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)
  • CSU Classification Salary Range: $2279 per Weighted Teaching Unit (WTU)
