Position Title: Branch Operations Manager
Location: ST LOUIS
Salary: (Exempt/Salaried)
Schedule: MondayFriday with On-Call Coverage for Nights/Weekends as Needed
Position Overview:
The Branch Operations Manager oversees the daily operations of the St Louis branch focusing on driver management customer satisfaction and operational performance. This role also includes occasional support of the plant operations team to ensure seamless service continuity. The Manager is responsible for P&L performance compliance with DOT and company regulations and the safe and effective functioning of all operations under their leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch & Driver Operations
Direct daily route assignments using logistics software and company procedures.
Monitor driver performance and compliance with DOT regulations and hours-of-service.
Conduct regular route observations and monthly vehicle inspections.
Maintain inventory of supplies/tools and minimize downtime from outages.
Ensure technician appearance professionalism and equipment cleanliness.
Serve as the first point of contact in the event of driver or route issues.
Customer & Vendor Relations
Maintain and build customer relationships through proactive communication site visits and service follow-up.
Resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with fleet maintenance and vendors to ensure operational readiness and timely repairs.
Administrative & Financial Oversight
Responsible for monthly P&L budget management and expense tracking.
Review and communicate financial performance to leadership and branch staff.
Complete and check all daily weekly and monthly logs reports and compliance paperwork.
Team Leadership & Compliance
Train and develop employees in safety compliance and service excellence.
Support plant operations and lead by example during high-need times (e.g. operating equipment chemical handling tank maintenance).
Maintain regulatory knowledge (e.g. permitting waste handling requirements) relevant to both transportation and treatment activities.
Ensure safe and compliant operations at all times including plant emergency protocols.
Support team safety and proper use of PPE and equipment.
Plant Support (As Needed)
Assist with monitoring wastewater treatment tank space and chemical mixing.
Operate equipment (e.g. forklifts skid steers) and perform light maintenance or cleanup tasks.
Help manage treatment schedules and offload efficiency.
Oversee housekeeping and WhatsApp milestone updates when plant coverage is needed.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
24 years of experience in a leadership role managing operations logistics or plant functions
Working knowledge of DOT and CDL driver regulations
Strong organizational and decision-making skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
Ability to manage a diverse team handle multiple responsibilities and respond to emergencies
Professional appearance and customer service demeanor
Valid Drivers License; CDL a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in wastewater treatment industrial service or related environmental operations
Experience with P&L management
Familiarity with industrial equipment heavy machinery and basic plant troubleshooting
Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with plant operations as needed
Working Environment:
Office field and plant environment
May involve lifting climbing bending and prolonged standing
Exposure to varied weather conditions strong odors and treatment materials
On-call availability for emergencies and weekend support
