Summary:
The CNC Machinist sets up and operates computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to perform machining operations including milling lathes large horizontal and vertical lathes.
The hours for this shift are: 8:00 pm to 6:00 am working Monday-Thursday off on Fridays.
Our Antigo facility is under ITAR/UNNPI regulations all applicants must be a US Citizen to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Actively promote and participate in advancing the safety culture of the facility.
Read process sheets blueprints and sketches to determine dimensional specifications set up and operating requirements.
Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system.
Interpret work instructions.
Identify select and install proper tooling for operations being performed.
Calculate proper feeds and speeds for a variety of steel grades copper brass aluminum and bronze
Read understand edit and/or write programs.
Understand capabilities of tooling and machinery.
Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections.
Adhere to all Waukesha Bearings policies and procedures.
Seek out and participate in Continuous Improvement opportunities.
Set up all necessary measuring equipment and routinely check the calibration of the equipment while measuring.
Create and maintain a team focused work environment.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
The Ideal Candidate Possesses the Following Experience Skills And Abilities:
One year Machine Tool Operation certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience with precision inspection equipment including but not limited to micrometers calipers height gauges bore gauges
Our Antigo facility is under ITAR/UNNPI regulations so you must be a US citizen
Mathematical Skills:
The ideal candidate can work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk sit and use hands to touch handle or feel parts and machinery. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must frequently twist bend and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
