NielsenIQ BASES is the global leader in innovation analytics for consumer goods. Role Overview

As a Lead Developer you will:

• Design and build scalable single-page web applications.
• Lead cross-functional teams through full project lifecycles.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance our SaaS platform.
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through code reviews and testing.
• Mentor developers and foster best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers QA DevOps and other teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement system features.
• Guide team members and delegate tasks effectively.
• Maintain project timelines and stakeholder communication.
• Troubleshoot issues and manage infrastructure resources.
• Document and communicate design decisions clearly.
• Promote automated testing and quality assurance.

Required Competencies

• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Effective intra/inter-team communication.
• Experience in architectural design and cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Qualifications :

Education and experience 

• 6 years of software development / engineering experience 
• MS/BS in Software Engineering or related discipline 

Technical skills 

• Experience programming in Java 
• Experience with microservice development is a plus 
• Experience programming withJavascriptframeworks like Angular and Ember 
• Experience in web application development 
• Understanding of relational databases such as MS SQL Server 
• Experience withnon-relationaldatabases like MongoDB is a plus 
• Familiarity with Agile process 
• Passion for learning new technologies 
• Experience with IaaS & PaaS from a cloud vendor is a plus. Azure preferred. 
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
