Arts Performance Coordinator (Part-Time)

ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION: Established in 1968 IBA - Inquilinos Boricuas en Acción is a dynamic community development corporation in Bostons South End. IBAs mission is to empower and engage individuals and families to improve their lives through high-quality affordable housing education and arts programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES
Program Management & Operations
- Plan and execute performance programming across IBAs initiatives.
- Conduct local national and international calls to artists.
- Review artist submissions and portfolios interview and recommend candidates.
- Negotiate and manage artist contracts.
- Coordinate all performance logistics and ensure compliance with facility policies.
- Maintain a performance calendar at least 1224 months in advance.
- Collaborate with Marketing Team to promote performances and ensure timely submission of promotional materials.
- Recruit and manage volunteers in collaboration with HR.
Strategic Planning
- Develop annual work plans objectives and
targets aligned with IBAs mission. - Collaborate with the Arts team and Curator to support programming including Festival Betances.
- Identify opportunities to integrate performing arts with other IBA programs.
Community Engagement & Partnerships
- Build relationships with residents and community stakeholders.
- Foster partnerships with cultural organizations and community-based groups.
- Represent IBA at internal and external meetings trainings and conferences.
Data & Evaluation
- Track and report data on artist participation
audience engagement and program outcomes.
Other Duties
- Participate in agency-wide events such as Three Kings Day Membership Drive Festival Betances and others.
- Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
GENERAL COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Arts Administration preferred Music Business Management or equivalent experience required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Bilingual (Spanish-English) preferred.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High computer literacy (Word Excel databases).
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in urban culturally diverse communities.
- Customer service oriented and flexible schedule availability.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Competitive starting pay range of $37 - $40 (hourly) commensurate with experience robust insurance plans for health dental and vision; Flexible Spending Account (FSA) ; a generous HRA plan provided by IBA for out-of-pocket medical expenses - up to $9450 or $18900 based on single and family coverage respectively; 403b plan with annual employer contribution. IBA staff enjoy generous amount of paid time off and free parking (some limits apply).
