PART TIME DATA ENTRY/SCALE ATTENDANT
The Data Entry/Scale Attendant is responsible for entering data off daily haul sheets log sheets or scale tickets. Duties include but not limited to maintaining daily scale operations data entry greeting customers answering phones processing phone orders and dispatching trucks for local deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Enter data daily from haul sheets into scale weigh system (AWS) and review for accuracy.
- Take orders over the phone and process for delivery.
- Be familiar with all products offered and pricing for each product.
- Operate the scale and weigh materials that are entering and exiting the site.
- Monitor the company radio system and dispatch deliveries to drivers.
- Greet and interact with customers in a positive and friendly manner while providing excellent customer service.
- Accurately and efficiently process all payments.
- File and maintain records.
- Keep lobby and work stations presentable and clean.
- Keep company social media current and appropriate.
Skills and qualifications:
- Dependable self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical skills and keep accurate records.
- General knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to be flexible with schedule to cover for seasonal requirements time off etc.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and best practices.
- Effectively prioritize job responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
