This role provides day-to-day Front Office production support for the trading desk mainly focused on Commodities and Exotic/Structured products. The analyst will work directly with traders to resolve trade booking issues pricing discrepancies P&L and position investigations and production incidents. The role is a 70% functional and 30% technical support position. The candidate must be hands-on able to analyze issues quickly and comfortable working in a high-pressure trading floor environment.
The position also involves troubleshooting system interfaces investigating data flow issues between upstream/downstream systems checking logs and performing basic SQL queries and Linux commands to support issue analysis. The candidate will collaborate with global IT and business teams and contribute to maintaining production stability across trading systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily production support to traders and Front Office users.
- Investigate trade booking issues incorrect P&L missing events or lifecycle problems.
- Analyze and resolve risk and positions discrepancies.
- Perform root cause analysis on production incidents and escalate when needed.
- Monitor and support interfaces and data flows between systems.
- Perform basic SQL queries for data investigation.
- Check Linux/Unix logs and restart application services if required.
- Support morning/evening production shifts rotation within the team.
- Communicate clearly with traders and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with global teams to maintain system stability.
- Follow support runbooks and document resolutions.

Qualifications :
- Minimum 5 years experience in Front Office production support or application support in a trading environment.
- Strong trade lifecycle knowledge: booking validation event management.
- Experience with Commodities and/or Equity Derivatives products including exotics:
- MTN autocallables structured notes swaps options.
- Experience working with traders on a trading floor.
- Strong understanding of P&L risk metrics and trade flow logic.
- Ability to work under pressure with fast response time.
- Experience with Murex (MX.3) or a similar trading platform (Calypso Summit Sophis etc.).
- Hands-on SQL experience for data investigation.
- Ability to read logs and troubleshoot in Linux/Unix environments.
Desired Skills (Nice to Have)
- Knowledge of Murex FO/BO modules.
- Experience with market data feeds.
- Basic scripting (Shell/Python) is a plus.
- Experience with incident management and support best practices.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes or production support environments.
- Exposure to control-M/Autosys or job schedulers.
