Job Summary

The Opportunity

Research Analysis Data and Reporting (RADAR) is a dedicated unit established to support the goal of continuously improving UNSWs position as a leading research-intensive university in Australia. It is responsible for reporting on the Universitys research activity and performance its position in various world university rankings enhancing and maintaining the Divisions research metric tool BORIS and providing divisional support for research applications together with business improvement and integration services to ensure all systems are effectively meeting business requirements.

Reporting to the Manager Research Quality and Rankings youll deliver business analysis and project coordination services related to research analysis data and reporting. This includes working with stakeholders across UNSW to improve the quality of service delivery contributing to routine and ad-hoc data analysis supporting the executive strategy and contributing to the continuous improvement of business processes.

Who you are

Level 6

You can demonstrate your experience in business analysis coordinating technical projects and maintaining and improving online systems through requirements gathering wireframing and user acceptance testing.

You also have excellent organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines using sound judgment and initiative. You demonstrate excellent customer service and communicate effectively with staff at all levels both verbally and in writing maintaining a high level of attention to detail in all deliverables.

You are skilled in preparing ad-hoc reports by extracting and analysing data from various sourcessuch as HR Student Publications and Grantsusing tools like Excel Python and SQL.

You understand and commit to UNSWs aims objectives and values adhering to its policies and guidelines. Additionally you are aware of your health and safety responsibilities including both psychosocial and physical aspects and are committed to participating in relevant training.

Level 7 (In addition to Level 6 criteria)

You have demonstrated experience in engaging stakeholders and gathering requirements for large-scale business process changes and information system implementations. You possess strong analytical skills to collect interpret and evaluate both quantitative and qualitative data allowing you to accurately understand business processes and design effective improvements.

Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills allow you to produce a variety of professional documents including reports briefings policies guidelines and addition your excellent time management and organisational abilities ensure you can effectively manage service delivery and operational outcomes.
