In this role you will be an integral part of the accounting close responsible for the compilation and recording of journal entries related to the companys Unearned and Deferred Revenue addition you will be responsible for the preparation ad hoc schedules and Balance Sheet reconciliations for key accounts and various schedules to support the firms internal customers. You will be an agent of change focused on improving processes through the formulation of ideas and a plan to execute them. A thought leader who will operate independently to make key decisions based on your accounting experience and knowledge of the firms business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Journal entry processing from supporting documentation preparation through to posting.
Trouble shoot / research general ledger coding issues
Contribute to month / year end closing processes
Support team through workload balancing.
User Acceptance Testing for certain system enhancements
Research accounting questions including coding reviews fluctuation analysis historical research trend analysis
Support year end audit requests i.e. provide invoice support create workpapers to include support and/or calculations prepare ad hoc schedules monitor status and due dates
Track workflow using Blackline
Monthly / quarterly preparation of financial accounts as assigned
Support one-time requests as needed
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience
CPA (Strongly Preferred).
Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience desired Advanced Excel skills required.
Detail oriented with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proven track record for driving process efficiencies and solving problems.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize and work independently while collaborating with relevant teams as necessary to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
Capacity to work with cross-functional peers and other members of management.
