As a Clinical Lab Scientist Lead You will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the laboratory operation. Youll assist and support the CLS Supervisor in coordinating and directing the daily operations of the department. Duties will include but not limited to staff scheduling quality control and quality assurance/monitoring policies and procedures competency assessment. Routinely performs all duties of a Clinical Lab Scientist.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree in Microbiology Medical Technology or related field required.
1 year experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) in a clinical Laboratory required.

Experience in a lead role and 5 years of experience in Medical Technology is preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
State of California Clinical Lab Scientist License.

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of clinical and technological advancements within the laboratory specialty area.
• Strong understanding of technical SOP manuals laboratory policies and procedural standards.
• Familiarity with CAP (College of American Pathologists) and AABB (Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies) professional standards.
• Knowledgeable of CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) and DHS regulations.
• Ability to train staff in clinical lab methods and procedures.
• Experience developing and maintaining lab policies and procedures.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong leadership organizational and communication skills.
