As a Junior Instrumentation & Control Engineer youll be responsible for maintaining and extending the functionality of control systems that support launch vehicles propulsion test stands and other critical systems. Youll work closely with engineers technicians and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet specifications. Whether its implementing new software features troubleshooting systems or driving process improvements your work will directly impact Rocket Labs success.

WHAT YOULL DO:

  • Maintain and enhance control systems for launch vehicle transporters erectors launchers and propulsion test stands.
  • Work with internal teams across multiple departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including software designs functional requirements and system architecture.
  • Drive product and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Be actively involved in project build phases and provide guidance on best practices for instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with test and operations teams to qualify systems and ensure readiness.
  • Provide remote and on-site support for installation commissioning testing and troubleshooting activities.
  • Execute test plans to validate system performance and vehicle interfaces.
  • Analyse post-flight and post-test data to identify improvements.
  • Develop and maintain interface control documentation between launch vehicles and pad systems.
