The role

We are currently seeking a talented Traffic Engineer to work closely with our other specialists to deliver Transportation and infrastructureprojects both in New Zealand and Australia. This is a permanent opportunity based out of SMECs Aucklandoffice.

With 3years design experience in civil design you will play a key role in: -

• Demonstrate strong technical skills in traffic engineering and / or transport planning for projects in NZ and / or Australia
• Production of reports and supporting collateral for tenders and proposals
• Ensuring that analysis and design tasks meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
• Proactively collaborating with team members contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
• Actively contribute to the technical success of projects and the team

With a track record of achievement in a similar role you will have gained your experience in consultancy or government and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.

Suitable applicants will have/be:

• Excellent analytical skills preferably with a solid grounding in traffic engineering projects
• Able to work on their own initiative and in a team environment.
• Experience on transportation projects in New Zealand
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or similar analytical disciplines
• Available to undertake some travel (domestic or international).
