Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate student-centered 7th & 8th Grade Reading Language Arts Teacher to join our middle school team. The ideal candidate fosters a love of reading and writing builds confidence in young learners and creates a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking creativity and collaboration.
Responsibilities Include:
Plan and deliver engaging RLA lessons aligned with state standards (TEKS).
Use data-driven instruction and differentiation to meet diverse learner needs.
Create a positive classroom culture that supports literacy growth and student voice.
Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels to strengthen curriculum and instruction.
Participate in campus events professional learning and extracurricular opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with students families and the community.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate (ELAR 48 or equivalent).
Strong knowledge of English Language Arts TEKS and literacy best practices.
Excellent communication organization and relationship-building skills.
Commitment to supporting student success in a small-school setting.
