About our team Mō te tīma
Vaa o Tautai Centre for Pacific Health provides a range of academic programmes and support for Pacific students leads Pacific Health teaching and research and provides strategic support for Pacific developments and regional engagement in the Division of Health Sciences. Our work as a team is underpinned by the Pacific Strategic Framework which outlines the Universitys commitment to meeting the needs of Pacific peoples and supports the further development of activities that promote improved rates of access retention and completion among New Zealand students of indigenous descent.
The role Te Mahi
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Health Sciences Pacific Health team and contribute to innovations in Pacific Health developments at the University of Otago.
As an academic member of the Vaa o Tautai you will be involved in teaching and training across Medicine Health Professional programmes and the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Pacific and Global Health major) while continuing your own professional development within an area of expertise. You will encourage the relationship with communities in the development coordination and delivery of Pacific curriculum and support the promotion of professional and cultural skills in students.

Possess a relevant postgraduate or professional qualification.
Have experience working within Pacific communities.
Demonstrate an ability to work effectively with students and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds.

A strong commitment to working in a Pacific team.

Further Details Puroko
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) permanent position located in Ōtepoti Dunedin.
The appointment range for this role is $75727 to $102900 per annum.
