Job Summary
We have an exciting role on offer within our Public Protection service as a Trading Standards Officer.
About Us
The Public Protection Service is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Trading Standards Officer to work as part of a dynamic Trading Standards team within a multi-disciplinary service which includes Trading Standards Licensing Environmental Health Environmental Protection and Private Sector Housing.
To be successful in this role you need either the Diploma in Trading Standards or the Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards (DCATS) or equivalent (including metrology) ideally with at least 2 years experience as a Trading Standards Officer working in trading standards enforcement. Howeverapplications from recently qualifiedcandidates and those wanting to work part- time will also be welcomed.
You will have a responsibility for focusing on the enforcement of fair trading product safety and tobacco control legislation using an intelligence led approach working closely with other enforcement agencies to support the service to achieve its broader public protection aims.
Please note part time hours will be considered.
