A leading corporate service provider based in Valletta Malta is seeking a Compliance Executive to join their Compliance this role the successful candidate will support the management of an international client portfolio including corporate and private clients across multiple industries ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
This is an office-based role offering a salary of up to 35K depending on experience.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collect review and maintain client due diligence documentation in line with onboarding procedures
- Conduct Client Risk Assessments at onboarding and on an ongoing basis including client re-evaluation according to quality and risk management policies
- Perform client screening and analysis to ensure compliance with AML/CFT regulations and sanctions including assisting with the reporting of suspicious transactions
- Implement in-house client acceptance requirements and support related compliance processes
- Monitor and review communications and notifications to regulatory authorities
- Liaise with internal departments to provide guidance gather information and address queries relating to compliance requirements
- Support the implementation and management of company policies including risk and compliance procedures
- Assist with internal audits statutory filings and other regulatory obligations
- Help deliver AML/CFT training and ensure the team is up-to-date with relevant laws and standards
- Maintain accurate records in both physical files and electronic systems
Education Skills and Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in AML/CFT compliance
- AML qualifications and evidence of completed training is an advantage
- Fluent in English both written and spoken
- Strong knowledge of financial services regulations Maltese corporate service provider frameworks company and trust law and AML/CFT practices
- Experience in due diligence and client compliance functions
- Proficient in MS Excel Word and Outlook
- Ability to multitask work under pressure meet deadlines and operate both independently and as part of a team
