As Director of Nursing you will oversee all nursing operations within a senior living community ensuring the highest standards of resident care safety and compliance. Youll lead a dedicated nursing team develop clinical strategies and maintain excellence across care delivery staff performance and regulatory adherence.

This role is ideal for a seasoned RN leader with experience in senior living assisted living or skilled nursing settings who thrives in a collaborative resident-focused environment.

• Direct and evaluate all nursing operations to ensure exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance.

• Assess and approve resident admissions based on clinical appropriateness and care needs.
  Collaborate with physicians department heads and interdisciplinary teams to create and maintain individualized care plans.

• Partner with external providers such as pharmacies hospice and rehabilitation services to coordinate comprehensive resident care.

• Engage directly with residents and families to address care concerns and promote satisfaction.

• Lead Health Maintenance and Quality Review meetings ensuring timely updates to service plans and care documentation.

• Oversee medication administration records treatment logs and nursing notes for accuracy and compliance.

• Recruit mentor and evaluate nursing staff performance; foster professional growth and retention.

• Manage departmental budgets staffing models and supply inventories to meet care and operational goals.

• Ensure compliance with state federal and local healthcare regulations while maintaining strict confidentiality of resident information.

• Represent the organization in community and professional settings cultivating strong partnerships and referral relationships.
  

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - Virginia or Compact (required).

• 3 years of nursing leadership experience in senior living assisted living or skilled nursing.

• Thorough knowledge of state and federal regulations governing elder care.

• Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn EMR and medication management systems.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze budgets staffing metrics and quality outcomes.
