JOB TITLE: 787 A&P Avionics Electrical Technician
LOCATION: Charleston SC
PAY RATE: $29-36/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

  • Shift: Variable shift - placement will be determined at the time of hire based on business needs. Shift assignment may be re-evaluated as needed.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Perform flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.

  • Assist in troubleshooting pneumatic hydraulic electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and support repairs of faulty components.

  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight checks maintenance and modification activities.

  • Resolve issues identified during operation and testing of deliverable products.

  • Verify accuracy of completed work and conduct self-inspections as needed.

  • Support system and subsystem pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.

  • Participate in planning and scheduling work activities to meet a wide range of objectives.

  • Work independently with guidance from a lead; work is reviewed for adequacy in meeting objectives.

  • This position is 100% onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED and typically 1 year of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school or Associate degree).

  • Ability to work any shift including days nights and weekends.

  • Minimum of 6 months avionics and/or electrical experience.

  • Minimum of 6 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.

  • Minimum of 6 months knowledge or experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.

  • 6 months of experience in Aerospace Fabrication or Manufacturing.

  • 6 months of experience with the 787 Program.

  • Familiarity with the Boeing Production System.

  • 6 months of experience with Field or Flight Line Operations.
